Pourrait provenir du Trésor de la rivière Aisaros (1879) qui contenait 11 statères de Ptolémée Ier. Illustre le Svoronos. NGC Ch AU* 5/5 4/5 (2130992-014). Avec monogramme du monétaire de Cyrène au revers. De très beau style et bien centré. Proche de son état de frappe. Légère patine. Superbe à Fleur de coin.
Magas de Cyrène est le fils de Bérénice Ière de son premier mariage et est donc le beau-fils de Ptolémée Ier Sôter, et le demi-frère de Ptolémée II. Vers 300 av. J.-C., Ptolémée Ier l’envoie en Cyrénaïque pour y rétablir l’autorité lagide. Après 283, il s’oppose à son demi-frère et se proclame roi de Cyrène. Il épousera la fille d’Antiochos Ier et règne jusqu’en 250 av. J.-C

キュレネのマガスは、ベレニケ 1 世の最初の結婚で生まれた息子であり、つまりプトレマイオス 1 世ソーテールの義理の息子です。そしてプトレマイオス 2 世とは異父兄弟となります。紀元前 300 年頃、プトレマイオス 1 世は、ラゴス朝の権威を再建する為、マガスをキレナイカ地方に送ります。 283 年以降は、異父兄弟であるプトレマイオス 2 世に立てつき、自らをキュレネ王と宣言しました。アンティオコス 1 世の娘と結婚し、紀元前 250 年まで在位しました。

NGC Ch AU* 5/5 4/5. With monogram of the Cyrene monarch on the reverse. Very nice style and well centered. Close to mint condition. Slight patina.

Magas of Cyrene was the son of Berenice I from his first marriage and was therefore the son-in-law of Ptolemy I and the half-brother of Ptolemy II. Around 300 BC, Ptolemy I sent him to Cyrenaica to re-establish Lagid authority. After 283, he opposed his half-brother and proclaimed himself king of Cyrene. He married the daughter of Antiochus I and reigned until 250 BC.
